And the home, of the.......... TOUGH

Where do the toughest people on campus party?
Obviously the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
With this knowledge in mind, the students at USU must be some of the toughest people I know. Or for that matter, the toughest people anyone knows.
Guess who gets to sleep outside this hallowed basketball arena for the next two nights with all these tough guys?
This guy.

Just to show you how big of a operation this thing is, watch this video. It honestly looks the exact same as here. But let me put this into perspective here. That video is DUKE. Yes that duke. Known for being home to the Cameron Crazies. The spectrum has turned into an exact replica of

Krzyzewskiville.

Saying I'm pumped for this campout would be an accurate statement.
Saying I'm pumped for the BYU game on friday would be a understatement of historic proportions.

More posts on this camp will follow. Pictures and all.
Stay tough my friends.

The Real Top Ten

Lately ESPN has been very un-tough.
They ranked every NBA player all the way from number 500 to number 1.

Mostly I had no problems with the list until the top 15. Then things really got out of hand.
Here is the top 15 for you uneducated folks.

15. Russell Westbrook
14. Steve Nash
13. Amare Stoudemire
12. Carmelo Anthony
11. Pau Gasol
10. Blake Griffin
9. Deron Williams
8. Derrick Rose
7. Kobe Bryant
6. Kevin Durant
5. Chris Paul
4. Dirk Nowitzki
3. Dwyane Wade
2. Dwight Howard
1. LeBron James

Okay a ridiculous list I know. Lets review this debacle.

1) Amare and Carmelo both should be higher. Especially Carmelo. Easily a top ten player.

2) Blake Griffin is way to high at number ten. He's good for 20 points and a hand full of rebounds a night. But in no possible way is he the tenth best player in the NBA. To be in the top ten you HAVE to be able to carry a team to the playoffs single handedly. Blake was watching the playoffs at home this year, despite the fact that he has some nice, young talent around him.

3) Kobe at 7. Stop it. He's unquestionably a top 5 player in the world. The man has lost one playoff series in the past 3 years. Just because you get bounced in the second round by the eventual world champs doesn't mean you're suddenly to old to carry a team like you used too. If you think that you need to stop. He is only 33 years old. This guy has a few more years left in him. Number 7 is straight disrespectful. He has more rings that the other six ahead of him combined. Like I said. Disrespect. Don't hate the Mamba. You'll regret it if this lockout ever ends.

4) Chris Paul? Ahead of Durant, Rose and Kobe? And the highest offense, at NUMBER 5?? I feel like I don't even have to explain myself on this one. Put him in the top ten, but no where close to number 5. More like 9 or 10.

5) Number 2 kills me. Try saying Dwight Howard is the second best player in the league with a straight face. He is simply not good enough yet to be labeled number 2. He wont get that distinction until he gets more consistent offensively, learns how to shoot better than 60% from the line, and wins a championship. He can't be number 2 until he is putting up 25 and 15 a night.

6) Number 1. I'm not going to say a word. I'll let Magic, Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless do the talking. Check out the rant here.

There is my rant on the joke ESPN called a top ten list. Sorry if its long, but I had to get it out.

 Stay tough my friends

Post season

I'm back fools! Sorry it took so long
So Football is pretty tough. Post season is pretty tough too.
If you haven't made the connection with me and football I'll help you out.

The Honey Badgers are 2-0 in the playoffs.
I'm pretty pumped about it. This video should help illustrate my excitement.

Honey Badgers.

Who is the toughest creature in the animal kingdom?
Please don't say a lion because that is the wrong answer.

The correct answer would be a Honey Badger (see below)

Now I know that you're asking yourself why I am on the subject of the mighty Honey Badger. SO.... let me tell the secret. The honey badgers are my intramural football team. We put up a VALIANT effort agains a bunch of loser seniors. I guarantee everyone hates them on campus. We lost by 4 but we showed plenty of promise. I see a championship in my future

On a cowboy boot

Half my room mates are gone and the football game doesn't start until 6, so I'm basically all by myself today. So I've spent a solid 45 minutes on youtube. This guy takes the cake for being the funniest human being alive. Thank you John C. Reilly. Thank you.

Its a work in progress....

One thing that really helps your toughness level in college is getting a picture with a woman. I've got a million.... but none with my good friend Robyn. She keeps evading me when I try to take one. Its getting a little out of hand. If you don't believe me, just check out these attempts

As you can tell my efforts aren't going so well. It started out with her just ignoring the picture, but now she can't even stand to be in the same frame as me. Ouch. One can only hope for one of two things: first, that I become more attractive so she can stand to be seen with me; or second that I improve on my sneaky picture taking skills.

Until next time my friends. Stay tough

Over rated

College is severely over rated. I need my house, my friends, and my family. I don't understand the draw of moving away. I just need to go home and chuck up the deuces with my friends. Thats all.
This is chucking up the deuces. Just fyi

Ultimate Toughness

I congratulate you if you're reading this. Why you ask? Because you lasted a whole day with no new toughness in your life. I'm impressed. Its a challenge to go that long without being enriched by this blog. So once more..... Congratulations.

So I'm about to get serious. If your not in the mood, look away. This post is all about the ultimate toughness (see title)

The best best part about college isn't staying up late, or partying, or classes. Its sharing the gospel. I have so many opportunities to do this. You see, we have 8 boys living in our apartment, and only three of them are LDS. This includes myself. So for you math whizzes out there, that leaves 5 boys who aren't members. This ratio has led to many missionary moments and opportunities. Almost every night there is a new little question asked by one of the non member room mates. They have been anything from 'do you drink coffee', or 'what is that book you read every night'. Yeah that book.

While answering these little questions, I feel like I have had a little glimpse into the life of a missionary. Which is good because within a year I will be serving as one. I can't wait to join this illustrious club. They are the ultimate tough guys. If theres one thing I've learned in my first week of college, its that nothing is as tough as a college guy. Nothing that is, except a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My brother is one of these tough guys.

My brother Cameron is the toughest guy I know. He's in the middle, flanked by two other guys who are almost as tough as him.

So there you go. You've just witnessed the last time I will ever admit to anything being tougher than a college tough guy. If your questioning my toughness...... check out this picture. It should answer a lot of questions.

Getting Serious

Okay guys listen up....
I know the last post was a massive success, so I'll try to follow up on the toughness with today's post

So today was the second day of classes, and guess what. No getting lost today. I know, I know, I'm a natural at this whole finding your classes thing. No need to congratulate me.

My first class was Consumer in the market. I made sure I was at least 15 minutes early so I wouldn't be late. But you'll be happy to know during those 15 minutes, I was terrified that I was in the wrong class. Thankfully I wasn't.  Also, my teacher is strait out of South Korea so trying to understand her is going to be the bomb...........

Second, I had Journalism and Communications. Its the class for my major so obviously I was pumped. It was fun and the teacher seems to have just the right amount of psychoness to her. I"m really looking forward to that class.

Of course the rest of the day was filled with trips to the always delicious cafeteria, (heavy sarcasm), WALMART runs, and later today I get to meet with my bishop.  AND.... after that they are showing Thor on the hill.

Enough toughness for today. I've got to get back to studying.

Me 'studying'

So....... I'm starting a blog about my college life. No I'm not gay. Guys can blog. I guess.

This is my new home. Logan Utah.
I'm really liking it. My room mates are tight.
They are:

Ryan
Chase
Austin
Bryce.

They are all super nice and we get along so see ya.

Like every college tough guy should, I stay up late parting. Just kidding. But I do stay up and hang out with my friends. Here we see my friend missy and I in my apartment. (My apartment is the envy of the campus by the way. No biggie)

Today has been the first day of classes, and guess what. My english teacher went to Pleasant Grove. Talk about getting the hook ups. He loves me already.

Thats all. More to come later.
Love you bye.
